Audio cassettes and transcripts of the 75 participants interviewed by Susan Carlson, Gaynell Foster-Pray, Larry Maxwell, Karen O'Connor, and Babs Treiber. Many of the participants also donated memorabilia; including photographs, journals, military uniforms, ration books, etc.; from World War II and the Korean War. Interviews started in 2001 and ended in 2004, with the bulk of them being recorded between April 2001 and November 2002. The interviews were recorded on 60 minute audio cassettes with either a table microphone or a lapel microphone. The interviews focused on providing information for researchers on what life was like on the home front (local society, business, transportation, architecture, education, etc.) and on the military front.
